Yellow dots of childish love

The perspiration from the heat makes your clothes stick to your body like paint. Was this what you signed up for? You think back, your mind wandering to somewhere, sometime in the winter. Back then, all you could ever wish for was a little bit of sun, of heat, of greenery. Yellow dots spot the green grass right outside the moving window, and you let out a childish smile.

In the end, it's all worth it. You know very well that six months from now, the whole world will die once more. You know that the land will be enveloped in a thick coat of cool white crystals. You know that it will melt, and the trees and bushes will break out in all colours of the spectra. You can't wait. You almost just want the summer to disappear and the whole year run its course, just so you can be there to see it reborn again.

You know, in the end, it's all worth it. Every bad thing that's happened during the year, every depressing thought that the dark of the winter brought, they all vanish like words in the wind as soon as the sun kisses your cold face and breaks it up in that childish little smile of love, happiness and peace. Because you know, no matter what's happened, there'll always be a day after today, a fresh start, a new chance. The sun always shows after the rain.

And in the end, it's all worth it.
